Churchill, November 2012: The Landscape

When we arrived in Churchill, Hudson Bay was already partially frozen. This meant that much of the bear population waiting there had already migrated onto the ice. This is very positive for the bears, as it extends the opportunity they have on the ice to hunt seal. The snow and at times blizzard conditions made for bleak, beautiful landscapes.
