Bald Eagles

Eagles have a close relationship with bears at Anan, being opportunistic feeders. The dynamic between them and the bears is fascinating, and despite not being a bird specialist, I ended up capturing numerous images of bald eagles. Those with dull plumage are immature, whilst the distinctive white head forms in maturity.

Here, two immature bald eagles share some salmon scraps left by a brown bear.

This is a short clip of a mature bald eagle in a tree.

This eagle was trying unsuccessfully to fly away with a heavy piece of salmon.
