Denali Flightseeing, September 2015

The exceptional weather on my birthday more than compensated for North America's highest mountain being obscured by cloud for the time I was in the National Park. A memorable part of the experience was to land on a snow covered glacier high in the Alaska Range. On the previous day, Obama had announced that at last it was to be officially renamed from Mount McKinley back to its native Koyukon title meaning 'the high one'.
